LA Fleet Week® 2018 presented by Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime Video made a big splash at the Port of Los Angeles over Labor Day weekend with an estimated 250,000 attendees and 8,800 ship tours conducted aboard five visiting military vessels.
Highlights of LA Fleet Week 2018 included a Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Relief Village in downtown L.A., a Wednesday Welcome Party in downtown San Pedro, the red carpet premiere of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan aboard the Battleship IOWA , the Beach Boys in concert on the Bob Hope USO Delta Air Lines main stage, “100 Years of the Navy in Hollywood” film festival at the Warner Grand Theatre, military equipment displays, aerial demonstrations including navy F-18 jets, Galley Wars Presented by Princess Cruises, a culinary competition between visiting sea service teams, a 5-on-5 Basketball Tournament featuring celebrities and professional athletes, and the 10thAnnual Conquer the Bridge 5.3 mile footrace on Labor Day Monday. LA Fleet Week is now one of the largest fleet week celebrations in the nation.
