WAVE OF DIVERSE GRASSROOTS DEMOCRATIC CLUBS ENDORSE MIKE ENG FOR STATE SENATE

EL MONTE, CA — Democratic State Senate candidate Mike Eng announced a list of 8 grassroots Democratic Clubs who have joined a broad, diverse coalition of local officials, organizations, women groups, labor unions and the California Democratic Party who support his campaign for State Senate. Mike, an experienced college educator, immigration attorney and public servant, is running to succeed Senator Ed Hernandez in the San Gabriel Valley’s 22nd District. Mike is the only candidate that has been officially endorsed by the Democratic Party. These new Democratic Club endorsements further establish his status as the grassroots people’s choice for State Senate.

Mike’s campaign for State Senate had a resounding 19-point margin and placed first on June 5th 2018 primary election, with over 45% of the vote.Mike has continued to build momentum after the primary by earning endorsements of the LA County Police Chiefs Association PAC, from former Senate Candidate and Baldwin Park Councilwoman Monica Garcia, who joined other major endorsers such as Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, the California National Organization for Women, California Federation of Labor, and the California Democratic Party. All of the best-known District leaders – including incumbent Senator Ed Hernandez (who is a candidate for Lieutenant Governor), Supervisor Hilda Solis, Congressmembers Judy Chu and Grace Napolitano and Assemblymember Ed Chau – are supporting Mike.

Mike Eng previously served in the State Assembly, on the L.A. Community College District Board of Trustees, and on the Monterey Park City Council.
