US CHINA Relations Exhibition Opening Ceremony held in Whittier Museum

Hosted by Whittier Museum, photo exhibit  “US China Relations”  opening ceremony held on January 4th. Where the former president Nixon and his family moved to city of Whittier when he was 9 years old.

The limited time exhibit “US China Relations” organized by Pedro Chan, Ph.D., Curator, member of Nixon Foundation and Whittier College alumni. This exhibit celebrates the 40th anniversary of US China normal relations and showcases presidential visits to China from President Nixon towards the present. 

In addition, there will be US magazines with Chairman Mao on the cover and those with both U.S. and China’s leaders. Nixon and Mao’s memorabilia will also be on display.

Whittier Mayor Joe Vinatieri, Yorba Linda Mayor Gene Hernandez, Cerritos councilmember Grace Hu, Maj General William Cohen, Maj General William Chen and Consul ChangAn Tang and XiaoYi Chen from Consulate General of China in Los Angeles in attendance of the opening ceremony with about 100 guests.
