Trump announces second summit with ‘capable’ Kim Jong Un in Hanoi, praises North Korea as an economic ‘rocket’

President Trump — suspected by many Americans of colluding with former Communist Vladimir Putin — on Friday said he is a big fan of a present-day Communist leader.

“North Korea, under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, will become a great Economic Powerhouse,” Trump tweeted.

Trump’s approving comment about one of the world’s most brutal dictators came as he issued word that his summit with Kim on Feb. 27 and 28 in Vietnam will occur in Hanoi.

Kim “may surprise some but he won’t surprise me, because I have gotten to know him and fully understand how capable he is,” Trump tweeted. “North Korea will become a different kind of Rocket — an Economic one!”

Trump and Kim made history when they held a summit in Singapore in June, marking the first time a North Korean leader met face-to-face with an American President.

Since that meeting, Trump has had nothing but warm words for the iron-fisted leader he used to blast as a “madman,” a “maniac” and a “little rocket man” with a puny “nuclear button.”

U.S. intelligence leaders have warned that North Korea still poses a threat and several reports show the isolated Communist regime has continued to develop nuclear weapons in secret, even though Kim pledged during his summit with Trump that the proliferation would stop.

Trump has shrugged off such reports and has instead focused on getting on Kim’s good side.
