CASCADE OF LABOR ENDORSEMENTS FALL SERGIO CONTRERAS’ WAY IN OC SUPERVISOR BID

Councilmember Sergio Contreras Wins Backing from 5 Powerhouse Labor Unions: AFSCME’s UDW and Local 2076, Laborers Local 652, Operating Engineers Locals 12 and 501, in Race for OC Board of Supervisors District 1

WESTMINSTER, CA — Serving as a fresh dose of evidence that organizations representing working men and women across Orange County are consolidating at a rapid pace behind his campaign, today Westminster City Councilmember Sergio Contreras garnered endorsements from five prominent labor unions. Those joining Contreras’ campaign for Orange County Board of Supervisors District 1 include the following:

  • American Federation of State, County, Municipal Employees (AFSCME) United Domestic Workers (UDW) Local 3930
  • American Federation of State, County, Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 2076
  • Laborers International Union of North America (LiUNA) Local 652
  • International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 12
  • International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 501
