Melissa Fox Continues to Show Strength and Viability in Assembly District 68 Race
IRVINE, CA – In another indication of her increasing momentum in the race for Assembly District 68, today Irvine Councilwoman Melissa Fox’s campaign announced that it had topped $250,000 raised for the upcoming March primary election.

Reflecting on the impressive fundraising total, Fox commented:

“I am deeply honored to have the support our campaign has received from people throughout the district, and I want to thank the widespread coalition of women’s groups, labor organizations, local leaders, environmental organizations, grassroots activists and small business groups who have stood by me and showed their confidence in the viability of my campaign. Reaching this benchmark is a testament to the strength of my campaign and the growing sentiment that it is time for common sense leadership. I look forward to expanding our efforts in the weeks and months ahead and am excited for the Blue Wave to reach the 68th District.”

Recently, Fox secured critical support from eligible delegates at the California Democratic Party’s Pre-Endorsement Conference, earning 73% of the vote from the 68th Assembly District Caucus and ensuring that her name will be considered for automatic endorsement at the upcoming CDP Convention.

For the most recent June 30th filing deadline, Fox’s campaign announced that she had outraised her opponent, Steven Choi, more than 2:1, with Fox’s campaign bringing in a significant $174,515, while Choi only raised $77,785.
