MELISSA FOX SECURES POWERFUL SUPPORT OF CALIFORNIA’S TEACHERS

California Teachers Association Backs Melissa Fox’s Assembly Bid
IRVINE, CA – In a reflection of her commitment to ensuring that every Californian has access to high quality public education, today Irvine Councilwoman Melissa Fox secured the endorsement of the California Teachers Association (CTA).

In a statement released with the announced endorsement, CTA President E. Toby Boyd remarked:

“California’s educators are pleased to support Melissa Fox for Assembly because we know she will fight for students and working families and will be a fierce leader on our state’s education issues in Sacramento. We know she will be a powerful advocate for investments in education to continue improving schools across Orange County and throughout California. In Sacramento, she’ll make the 68th Assembly District proud by working to invest more in local classrooms and improve the education of all of California’s children.”

Last week, Fox’s campaign announced that it had topped $250,000 raised for the upcoming March primary election.

Recently, Fox secured critical support from eligible delegates at the California Democratic Party’s Pre-Endorsement Conference, earning 73% of the vote from the 68th Assembly District Caucus and ensuring that her name will be considered for automatic endorsement at the upcoming CDP Convention.
