Irvine Councilwoman Melissa Fox Secures Important Endorsement from UDW AFSCME Local 3930

IRVINE, CA – Continuing to expand her extensive coalition of support from organizations representing working families in her campaign to represent California’s 68th Assembly District, today Irvine City Councilwoman Melissa Fox earned a critical endorsement from the United Domestic Workers of America, UDW/AFSCME Local 3930.

In a statement released with the announced endorsement, UDW AFSCME Local 3930 Executive Director Doug Moore commented:

“The members of UDW AFSCME Local 3930 are excited to endorse Melissa Fox for Assembly District 68. On the Irvine City Council, Melissa has proven herself an ally for working families, whether it’s advocating for more investments in job training programs, prevailing wages, or workers protections. We know she will stand in solidarity with our home care workers in Sacramento and fight for an economy that works for everyone, and we’re excited to help her campaign.”

Earlier this week, Fox received the sought-after support of California State Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon. Recently, Fox’s campaign announced that it had topped $250,000 raised for the upcoming March primary election.
