IRVINE, CA – In the latest indication of her widespread support from working families in the race for State Assembly District 68, today Irvine Councilmember Melissa Fox garnered the influential endorsement of the California Federation of Labor. The CA Labor Federation represents over 1,200 local unions and over 2 million union members.

In a statement released with the announced endorsement, CA Labor Federation Political Director Bryan Blum commented:

“The members of the California Labor Federation are proud to endorse Melissa Fox for State Assembly because we know we can count on her to be a champion for working families. Throughout her career, Melissa has fought for working men and women, and for an economy that works for everyone. She has the passion, determination, and policy savvy to get things done in Sacramento for working and middle-class families in Orange County and we’re excited to help her campaign.”

Earlier this week, Fox’s campaign for Assembly announced that she had raised a whopping $413,000 by the December 31st fundraising deadline.

She also unveiled a new digital video ad titled “Fighter,” which highlights her record of accomplishments on the Irvine City Council and Orange County Fire Authority, as well as her vision for progress in the California State Assembly.
