Rep. Gil Cisneros is having a Town Hall this Friday

Rep. Gil Cisneros is proud to be hosting his first town hall of 2020 this Friday, January 17th starting at 6pm at the Wilshire Auditorium at Fullerton College.

In his letter to the public he said” I’ll be joined by Secretary of State Alex Padilla, and we will be discussing the 2020 U.S. Census, new election procedures, and Vote Centers for the upcoming California elections. I encourage you and everyone in the 39th district to attend. ”

Why it Matters:

Mandated by our Constitution, the government conducts a census every 10 years to count all residents living in the United States. And every person in our communities counts. Your participation in the census matters because the census informs how billions of dollars are allocated to hospitals, schools, affordable housing, and hundreds of other critical services and programs that make a difference in our lives every day. It only takes a few minutes, but the impact will be felt for years.

With the upcoming California primary elections, our state is rolling out new Vote Centers. They’re meant to improve the voting experience and strengthen election security. If you want to learn more about these Vote Centers, election procedures, or ask questions about this new process, make sure to come to our town hall.

Secretary Padilla and I will be taking questions from the audience, so make sure to fill out the RSVP form.

You can check out more information below, and I look forward to seeing you on Friday.
