Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger announced 155th infant Surrendered Saved

LOS ANGELES COUNTY — A male infant was safely surrendered on October 2nd at a hospital in Lancaster, announced Supervisor Kathryn Barger.  This safe surrender marks the fifth this year, and the 155th surrender since the Safe Surrender program was initiated.

“To prevent newborns from being hurt or abandoned, the Safe Surrender gives parents or guardians the choice to legally and safely surrender their baby with an employee at any Los Angeles County hospital or fire station at any time, no questions asked,” said Supervisor Barger.
