SKIRBALL FIRE UPDATE

INCIDENT SUMMARY:
On Wednesday December 6, 2017, at 4:52 a.m., LAFD firefighters responded to a brush fire near the Northbound San Diego (I-405) Freeway and Mulholland Drive.  There are presently LAFD firefighters assigned to what is called the “Skirball Fire”, with resources from allied agencies supporting the firefight.

FIRE STATUS:
475 acres with 50% containment

INJURIES/FATALITIES:
Two firefighter minor injuries

STRUCTURES DAMAGED / DESTROYED:
12 structures damaged
6 structures destroyed

EVACUATION INFORMATION:
Previously more than 700 homes in a 3.2 square mile area. Please see the interactive map at the bottom of this page for a detailed view of the Evacuation Area.

The following streets are still under Mandatory Evacuations with no access to residents:
• Linda Flora Dr. North of the 1000 block remains closed
• Linda Flora Dr. South of 1894 Linda Flora Dr. remains closed
• Moraga Dr. north of the security gate entrance remains closed

The follow streets are open to residents only:
• Casiano Road South of Stephen S. Wise Drive
(Stephen S. Wise Temple has NO access restriction)

The following streets are open with NO access restriction:
• Bellagio and Casiano roads from Moraga Drive northbound
