Following Florida Shooting, LA Protesters Demand Stronger Gun Control

A crowd gathered for a rally at downtown Los Angeles’ Pershing Square Monday, calling for gun control and encouraging voters to press members of Congress to act on legislation regulating the use of firearms.

Chanting  “Drain the NRA,” members from the groups Moms Demand Action and Everytown for Gun Safety say they are standing in solidarity with parents, students and other supporters in Parkland, Fla., where 17 students and faculty members were killed inside a high school last week by a 19-year-old gunman with a semi-automatic rifle.
