Former Torrance Mayor Frank Scotto Secures Endorsement of Retired Torrance City Councilman Paul Nowatka

TORRANCE– Former Mayor of Torrance and longtime small business owner, FrankScotto has been endorsed by retired Torrance City Councilman Paul Nowatka.

“I had the pleasure of serving with Frank on the Torrance City Council, and I am proud to put my full support behind his run for State Assembly,” said Nowatka. “His dedication to serving those in his community, working to promote a climate that encourages public trust, fostering smart growth, and protecting the environment, are just a few of the reasons he will be a great representative.”

A longtime resident of Torrance, Frank was the founder and operator of his own tow truck company, Frank Scotto Towing, which provided emergency assistance for hundreds of motorists. In addition, Frank owned and operated multiple local gas stations, opening his first in 1974 after returning from serving in the United States Army.

In addition to his business endeavors, Frank has served the public in a number of capacities. He was elected to the City Council in 2000, where he was appointed by his peers to serve as Mayor Pro-tem. He was then elected as Mayor of Torrance in 2006 and reelected in 2010. Prior to serving on the City Council, Frank was appointed as a commissioner on the Torrance Civil Service Commission and has focused much of his public service work on making the City of Torrance a desirable place to live, work and raise a family.

Frank Scotto is the former Mayor of Torrance. He is running for State Assembly in the 66th Assembly District, which encompasses much of the South Bay of Los Angeles.
