STATE HIGHWAY PATROL OFFICERS ENDORSE MIKE ENG FOR STATE SENATE

EL MONTE, CA — The California Association of Highway Patrolmen (CAHP), representing over 14,500 current and retired highway patrol officers throughout the state, announced their endorsement of Democrat Mike Eng for the open 22nd State Senate District.

“I am proud to have the endorsement of the CAHP and men and women who protect the public every day as Highway Patrol Officers,” said Eng, “I look forward to working with them to strengthen laws to make our state safer,” Eng concluded.

Mike Eng is also endorsed by the National Latino Peace Officers Association Advocacy, the Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC), the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs (ALADS) and the Los Angeles County Professional Peace Officers Association.

Mike’s campaign for State Senate has gathered a huge amount of momentum lately with major endorsements from Dolores Huerta and organizations including the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor and the California Democratic Party. All of the best-known District leaders – including incumbent Senator Ed Hernandez, Supervisors Hilda Solis and Kathryn Barger, Congressmembers Judy Chu and Grace Napolitano and Assemblymember Ed Chau – are supporting Mike.

Mike Eng previously served in the State Assembly, on the L.A. Community College District Board of Trustees, and on the Monterey Park City Council.
