2018 AFMA Film Festival of Young Cinema

2018 AFMA Film Festival of Young Cinema closed in LA LIVE Regal Cinemas April 21st in downtown Los Angeles. This year’s theme is Fearless encouraging film industry young professionals and students to pursue their film dream with passion and knowledge.

Golden Fortune won Best Direct Award, Salvation won Best Film Award. 10 films selected screening to public during the festival.

The AFMA Film Festival of Young Cinema is hosted and organized by Annenberg Film Marketing Association (AFMA). All members fromUSC The USC School of Cinematic Arts and Annenberg School’s Chinese students.

Starting from 2014, it is an annual showcase of new film arts from young talented filmmakers. It also serves as a platform for student filmmakers, industry professionals, and investors to meet and share with each other.

According to this years festival president Yuanhao Song, student of The USC School of Cinematic Arts, he said the festival started very small and tiny, after 5 years joint efforts, the festival growing fast and draws more attention and help from senior film professional and followers from Hollywood and China.

Now the festival is the only one hosted by Chinese students and the unique platform and network for increasing rapidly film international students and young professionals from China.
