Frank Scotto Endorsed By Former Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe

TORRANCE, CA – Don Knabe, a Los Angeles County Supervisor from 1996 – 2016, has endorsed small businessman Frank Scotto in his bid for the California State Assembly.

“Frank Scotto was an exemplary Mayor and small businessman for decades,” stated Knabe. “His notable passion and dedication for our community leaves me zero doubt in his ability to succeed as our representative in Sacramento.”

Frank Scotto’s political career spans nearly two decades. He served on the Torrance Civil Service Commission beginning in 1997, which led to his election to the Torrance City Council in 2000. Scotto served on the City Council until 2016, a tenure which included the position of Mayor Pro Tem and Mayor.

Scotto also has a lengthy history as a small business owner in Torrance and the surrounding area. He founded Frank Scotto Towing in 1975, after returning from military service. Frank Scotto Towing served the South Bay for over 40 years and contracted with several local agencies, including the Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach Police Departments, the Lomita Sheriff’s Station, the California Highway Patrol, and the Metro Transit Authority.

Currently, Scotto and his wife, Cindy, live in Torrance. Scotto is active in the community, volunteering with numerous local organizations such as the Arts Council of Torrance; Torrance Sister City Association; the Torrance Rose Float Association; and the Chambers of Commerce of Torrance, Redondo Beach, and Lomita.
