Disneyland 1st welcome ceremony for USC-CSSA students

Disneyland and USC-CSSA (Chinese Students and Scholars Association) co-hosted a welcome ceremony at the Grand Hotel conference hall on August 25 to about 250 USC Chinese freshmen students.

The organizer, Pengkai Hong, president of USC-CSSA and a senior undergraduate student of Business accounting major said that USC has about 5000 students from China, and about 1000 new Chinese students enrolled into USC this fall semester.

“As USC’s largest Chinese students entity, USC-CSSA team wants to have all students know eachother at the world’s most joyful place and have a wonderful memory for the beginning of a new journey at USC,”  Pengkai said.

According to Nicky Tang, Disneyland sales director of APAC Travel Industry, this is the 1st welcome ceremony for Chinese Students held at Disneyland. Disneyland wanted to present our culture to the outstanding Chinese students.

Deputy director of USCCSSA Pengxiang Xu, was the chief organizer of this event. Today’s theme was called “Paradise Arch”, USCCSSA rented 6 buses for the students’ commutes. over 20 USCCSSA team members escorted students in the park.

Disneyland welcomes students with snacks, drink and figure Mickey.

After the ceremony, students spent whole day in the wonder land.
