Huan Wu meets Tony Hsu in Los Angeles

Huan Wu and Tony Hsu, both from well-known Chinese families, met in Los Angeles at UCLA professor King-Kok Cheung’s party on August 24th.

Huan Wu, one of most well-known Chinese contemporary artist, writer, son of Zuguang Wu and Fengxia Xin (Queen of Ping Opera)  , Tony Hsu grandson of Zhimo Xu, an early 20th-century Chinese Poet Laureate.

Professor Cheung, a long-time friend of Huan Wu, invited local well-known literature and culture scholars to welcome him during his 4-day visit to Los Angeles.

Tony Hsu, a retired engineer residing in Los Angeles, worked hard studying and promoting his grandfather Zhimo Xu.

King-Kok Cheung is an American literary critic specializing in Asian American literature and is a professor in the department of English at UCLA. Professor Cheung is an honoree as one of 2018’s “10 Best UCLA Professors” by student’s vote on College Magazine.
