SERGIO CONTRERAS BACKED BY DUO OF WORKING FAMILIES ORGS

WU Local 50 and CWA Local 9510 Unite Behind Westminster Councilman Sergio Contreras’s Bid for OC Supervisor

WESTMINSTER, CA — In another reflection of his extensive support from working men and women in the race for Orange County Board of Supervisors District 1, today Westminster Councilmember Sergio Contreras earned the endorsement of Workers United (WU) Local 50 and Communications Workers Association (CWA) Local 9510.

WU Local 50 represents Disneyland Resort Food & Beverage Castmembers. CWA Local 9510 has been representing communications workers in Orange County for 30 years.

Each released a statement with their endorsement:

“We are excited to endorse Sergio Contreras because he has supported a pro-worker and pro-middle class agenda on the Westminster City Council. As a former castmember, Sergio understands hard work, and the importance of good jobs that provide economic security for workers and their families as well as dignity and respect on the job. Throughout his career, he’s been a leader who has fought for good jobs, protections for collective bargaining, livable wages, and more. We know he will be a champion for working families on the Board of Supervisors, and we look forward to working with him to expand middle-class.”
-Workers United (WU) Local 50 President Chris Duarte

“The members of CWA Local 9510 are proud to endorse Sergio Contreras for Supervisor. Throughout his career, he’s been a force on behalf of working families, protecting workers’ rights, combating inequality, and fighting for more good-paying jobs. We are excited to stand with Sergio in his campaign and look forward to helping him get elected.”
-CWA Local 9510 President Kenny Williams
