Creativity on Display: LA County Library Celebrates 46th Annual Bookmark Contest Winners
More than 9,000 young artists submitted original designs, with 20 grand prize winners recognized by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA — LA County Library recognized the winners of its 46th Annual Bookmark Contest at Tuesday’s Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors meeting. More than 9,000 young artists from across the County submitted original bookmark designs, with 20 grand prize winners selected across four grade-level categories in each of the County’s five Supervisorial Districts. In recognition of Supervisor Hilda L. Solis’ service, two young artists created special commemorative bookmarks celebrating her legacy as she concludes her tenure on the Board of Supervisors at the end of this year.
A beloved tradition since 1980, the annual contest highlights LA County Library’s commitment to fostering literacy, creativity, and lifelong learning.
