It\u2019s a major blow to the chemical manufacturer and its parent company, German chemical giant Bayer AG, which are facing hundreds of lawsuits related to the glyphosate-based herbicide in San Francisco.<\/p>\n<p>In the first phase of the trial, which concluded on March 20, the jury found that plaintiff Edwin Hardeman\u2019s cancer was likely\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/jury-finds-bayers-roundup-weedkiller-caused-mans-cancer-11553030151?mod=article_inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">due to Roundup exposure<\/a>.
