Newman\u2019s Rematch SD-29 Bid Garners Critical Endorsement from Youth Arm of California Democratic Party<\/em><\/p>\n

ORANGE COUNTY, CA<\/strong>\u00a0— In recognition of his record of standing up for issues important to young Californians, today U.S. Army veteran, businessman, and former State Senator Josh Newman earned another influential endorsement,\u00a0from the California Young Democrats (CYD). CYD is the official youth arm of the California Democratic Party, comprised of people ages 14-35.<\/p>\n

In a statement released with the endorsement, CYD President Will Rodriguez-Kennedy said:<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring his time in the State Senate, Josh Newman championed the issues important to young people, and the California Young Democrats are thrilled to endorse him once again. When he returns to Sacramento, we\u2019re confident that Josh will again work to combat climate change, fight to improve our K-12 education system, and make colleges and universities more affordable. We know Josh will also work to create a fairer economy which will level the playing field for everyday Californians. We\u2019re proud to support his campaign for State Senate and are excited to help him take back the 29th.\u201d<\/p>\n

Newman released the following statement acknowledging CYD\u2019s endorsement:<\/p>\n
