The grantees, all of whom are focused on improving educational outcomes for Detroit-area students, provide a wide array of in-classroom, after school, summer and weekend programming.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"fmr-body\">\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-fmr-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden\">\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\">\n<p>\u201cThe FCA Foundation recognizes its responsibility to help build strong and sustainable communities,\u201d said Christine Estereicher, Director &#8211; FCA Foundation, Civic Engagement &amp; State Affairs. \u201cWe believe that this goal can only be realized by investing in Detroit\u2019s young people; providing them with educational opportunities as well as life skills that will help them grow and thrive for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Among the 17 academic and nonprofit organizations receiving an FCA Foundation grant,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/science.cranbrook.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cranbrook Institute of Science<\/a>\u00a0will utilize its grant to bring a hands-on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) program to K-12 students at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhaschools.com\/schools\/detroit-enterprise-academy\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Detroit Enterprise Academy<\/a>, as well as to students in southeast and central Michigan.
