At least 28,704 results have been received and another 57,400 are pending. These numbers include data California has received from commercial, private and academic labs, including\u00a0Quest, LabCorp, Kaiser, University of California and Stanford,\u00a0and the 22\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/cert1.mail-west.com\/zjanmc7rm6My6Z\/Mgtmyu\/6\/i3xzxmoq71\/l3u\/47\/26Mgvt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/cert1.mail-west.com\/zjanmc7rm6My6Z\/Mgtmyu\/6\/i3xzxmoq71\/l3u\/47\/26Mgvt&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1585776131899000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGuM6QbonxQ8rHYEnIcIi8jfCAX1w\">state and county health labs<\/a>\u00a0currently testing.<br \/>\n*This week\u2019s cumulative testing numbers are lower than last week due to an inadvertent over-reporting error discovered by one of the private labs.<\/p>\n<p><b>How People Can Protect Themselves<\/b><br \/>\nEvery person has a role to play. Protecting yourself and your family comes down to common sense:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Staying home except for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/cert1.mail-west.com\/mc7rmvGyiT\/yuzjan\/vGgtm\/i3xzxmoq71\/l3u\/47\/3vGnhb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/cert1.mail-west.com\/mc7rmvGyiT\/yuzjan\/vGgtm\/i3xzxmoq71\/l3u\/47\/3vGnhb&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1585776131899000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFgJ_mj_LYwYcq1lL0nYXWDs6C-gw\">essential needs\/activities<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Practicing social distancing.<\/li>\n<li>Washing hands with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Avoiding touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.<\/li>\n<li>Covering a cough or sneeze with your sleeve, or disposable tissue.
