JIMMY Kimmel reignited his feud with actor Matt Damon during the Oscars last as he took to the stage to host the ceremony for the first time.<\/p>\n

As he chatted to the Hollywood elite, who were gathered in the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for the biggest night in the industry\u2019s calendar, he looked over at the actor who was sitting a few rows from the stage.<\/p>\n

Jimmy Kimmel hosted last night\u2019s Academy Awards \u2013 and singled out his \u2018enemy\u2019 Matt Damon<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

He said: \u201cTonight, in the spirit of healing and bringing people together, I would like to bury the hatchet with someone I\u2019ve had issues with \u2013 Matt Damon.\u201d<\/p>\n

The camera then switched to the actor who was sitting next to wife Luciana Barroso, and pretended to look annoyed that Kimmel had turned his attentions to him.<\/p>\n

Matt Damon looked downcast as Jimmy started to take a few pot shots at him<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Kimmel continued: \u201cI\u2019ve known Matt for a long time now, I\u2019ve known Matt so long when I first met Matt, I was the fat one. True.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then went on to tell the audience about the issues they have had, calling him \u201ca selfish person\u201d but then added: \u201cHe did something very unselfish and I want to commend him for it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Matt was unable to keep a straight face as Kimmel continued to mock him<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

He then went on to tell the audience that Damon could have starred in Manchester by the Sea, which he produced, but instead gave it to Casey Affleck, who won the Best Actor Oscar for the role<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kimmel joked that instead, he made a \u201cChinese ponytail movie\u201d, which Damon couldn\u2019t help but laugh at.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the evening, Kimmel took to his Twitter page to post a photo of himself watching Damon arriving at last night\u2019s awards and wrote: \u201cDead man walking the red carpet\u201d, as Matt told his interviewer: \u201cHe\u2019s talentless himself. Unfortunately, he\u2019s got an incredible group of writers who work for him. So I\u2019m afraid. I think I\u2019m in for it tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n
