Created in partnership with the Bakken Museum and Discovery Education,\u00a0<em>3M Science at Home<\/em>\u00a0offers students ages 6-12 a series of fun and educational science experiments that can be easily completed at home using commonly found household items.<\/p>\n<p>These experiments, led by 3M scientists and special guests (like Miss America 2020), reinforce core scientific principles and are supported by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gcc01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nextgenscience.org%2Ffaqs%23Purpose&amp;data=02%7C01%7CTimothy.Barrett%40state.mn.us%7C8081b8e79a224b54155308d7ed84980a%7Ceb14b04624c445198f26b89c2159828c%7C0%7C0%7C637239026059837282&amp;sdata=%2BnPIHJwVXcZToHNV6GZL%2FjQ4uhjDpAsYuKPonhE%2F6gI%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Next Generation Science Standards<\/em><\/a>, which many states use to measure and improve science-related education outcomes. Each experiment includes background information on the key concepts to be explored, a complete materials list, step-by-step written instructions, and detailed \u201cobservation and results\u201d to expand student learning.<\/p>\n<p>New content posts weekly so there\u2019s always something fresh to do. Led by world-class scientists, the Science at Home series also shows students diverse people in an array of STEM careers.
