Rouda Votes to Pass Bipartisan George Floyd Justice in Policing Act"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>WASHINGTON<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Today, Congressman Harley Rouda (CA-48) voted to pass the bipartisan\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/justiceinpolicing.us\/\">George Floyd Justice in Policing Act<\/a>, which would transform the culture of policing to address systemic racism and increase police accountability and transparency.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Millions of Americans, from Orange County to Minneapolis, have demanded accountability, reform, and justice \u2014 Congress has listened,&#8221;\u00a0<strong>said Rouda<\/strong>. &#8220;Today, I voted to pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, a common-sense and comprehensive bill to increase transparency and curb police brutality. This long-overdue legislation, led by my colleagues in the Congressional Black Caucus, is the culmination of decades of advocacy and peaceful protest.
