The\u00a07-day average number of new cases is\u00a09,420\u00a0per day. The 7-day average from the week prior was 8,309.\u00a0California has\u00a0413,576\u00a0confirmed cases to date.<\/li>\n<li>There have been 6,664,998 tests conducted in California.\u00a0This represents an increase of 127,487 over the prior 24-hour reporting period.\u00a0As testing capacity continues to increase across the state, an increase in the number of positive cases has been expected \u2013 increasing the importance of positivity rates to find signs of community spread.<\/li>\n<li>There have been\u00a07,870\u00a0COVID-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic.<\/li>\n<li>A total of 33 counties are required to close indoor operations for certain sectors based on the\u00a0<a
