The 7-day average from the week prior was 9,920. California has 485,502 confirmed cases to date.\u00a0Numbers may not represent true day-over-day change as reporting of test results can be delayed.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4890336780554631411xmsonormal\">There have been 7,633,840 tests conducted in California.\u00a0This represents an increase of 116,374 over the prior 24-hour reporting period.\u00a0As testing capacity continues to increase across the state, an increase in the number of positive cases has been expected \u2013 increasing the importance of positivity rates to find signs of community spread.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4890336780554631411xmsonormal\">There have been\u00a08,909\u00a0COVID-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li
