I submitted all my paperwork to the County Registrar-Recorder\u2019s office and filed for re-election to the Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees Seat 7 for the upcoming election on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. \u00a0\u00a0We are officially on the ballot!<\/p>\n

As Trustee on the board of America\u2019s largest community college district, I have worked \u00a0to increase student access to higher education and collaborated with Mayor Eric Garcetti on the Los Angeles College Promise program making two years of community college tuition-free expanding college access and opportunity for thousands of local students.\u00a0 I have led efforts to increase student success, expand dual enrollment programs, create high growth sector job training programs, and make the Colleges and District more responsive to the needs of students and the local community.<\/p>\n

I am running to advocate and fight for the progressive values of the students and residents in the dynamic and diverse communities representing the Los Angeles Community College District and embrace their hopes and aspirations for a better tomorrow.<\/p>\n
