A new application platform is scheduled to reopen on\u00a0<strong>Monday, December 7, 2020, at 8 a.m.<\/strong>\u00a0and will remain available until\u00a0<strong>Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at 5 p.m.,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>or<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>until 2,500 applications<\/strong>\u00a0are received, whichever comes first. Applicants who registered but were unable to complete the process have also been contacted via email and provided details on how to proceed.\u00a0<strong>All other applicants will be required to re-register through the program\u2019s new application portal.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">The Keep LA County Dining Grant Program is a $5.6 million program that will provide restaurants with $30,000 grants to bolster them during this period of economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The program was approved by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on November 24, 2020, and is supported by Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Small businesses located in the County of Los Angeles, not including the Cities of Los Angeles and Pasadena that can demonstrate that their business was impacted by COVID-19 through a hardship due to closure and a reduction in revenue, are eligible to apply.\u00a0Businesses that have already received assistance from other Los Angeles County CARES Act programs\u00a0are not eligible for this Program.<\/p>\n<p>Eligible applicants include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed brick and mortar locations with a full-service kitchen. (Pop ups and food trucks are not eligible).<\/li>\n<li>Restaurants with less than a total count of 25 employees at the time of application.<\/li>\n<li>Restaurants located within Los Angeles County, not including the Cities of Los Angeles or Pasadena.<\/li>\n<li>Businesses with no more than five business locations. Those with multiple locations, but with five or less, may only submit one application.<\/li>\n<li>Non-corporate-owned franchises.<\/li>\n<li>Restaurants with a current inspection grade of \u201cC\u201d or better.<\/li>\n<li>Restaurants that were established and operating no later than March 4, 2020.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"left\">Funds will be divided equally throughout each Supervisorial District. An application list for each District will be based on the order in which applications are received with priority given to restaurants that provided outdoor dining as of November 24, 2020, followed by restaurants without outdoor dining.\u00a0 Selected applicants will be notified of their status by the week of\u00a0<strong>December 21, 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">This latest investment by the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors is part of the County\u2019s efforts to mitigate the devasting impacts the COVID-19 pandemic has had on small businesses.\u00a0 On November 24, 2020, the Board of Supervisors also redirected an additional $10 million in CARES Act funding to continue its strategic response to the needs of the County\u2019s small businesses, such as restaurants, that have been disproportionately impacted during the pandemic.
