Former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan condemned efforts by a group of Republican lawmakers to reject the electoral votes from some states, saying Sunday that it is “difficult to conceive of a more anti-democratic and anti-conservative act.”<\/p>\n
“Efforts to reject the votes of the Electoral College and sow doubt about Joe Biden’s victory strike at the foundation of our republican,” Ryan, a former GOP congressman from Wisconsin who retired in 2018, said in a statement.
