Deng Hong, Deputy Director General of the Information Office, People’s Government of Guangdong Province said at the launch ceremony, “After years of inheritance and integration, zodiac culture has become an indispensable part of Lingnan culture. As a uniquely expressive form of zodiac culture, the zodiac stamps convey the special meaning of people’s good wishes.” Deng also pointed out that in recent years, the Information Office of People’s Government of Guangdong Province has printed the stamp albums named “Beautiful Guangdong” and sent them to Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, Europe and the United Nations. They are popular among local politicians and international friends and form part of our cultural exchanges, strongly confirming the saying that “We are not alone on the Great Way and the whole world is one family.”

Samples of the special zodiac stamps (Photos provided to Newsgd.com)

The special zodiac stamps were designed by Yao Zhonghua, who is also the designer of the first set of Ox year’s special zodiac stamps.
