San Pedro, CA \u2013 Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn has directed the LA County Department of Public Works to conduct a safety review of the stretch of Hawthorne Boulevard where Tiger Woods was badly injured in a car accident yesterday. The accident took place on the stretch of Hawthorne on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes located in Supervisor Hahn’s fourth supervisorial district.<\/p>\n
Supervisor Hahn released the following statement regarding the accident and the safety review:<\/p>\n
\u201cFirst, I want to extend my best wishes to Tiger and his family for his swift and full recovery. Like so many other Angelenos, I was shocked and saddened when I heard the news of his accident. I want to commend the first responders from LA County Fire and the Sheriff\u2019s Department for responding so quickly and for their outstanding work on the scene to remove Tiger from the vehicle.<\/em><\/p>\n Traffic Safety across Los Angeles County is a tremendous concern for me and my colleagues on the Board of Supervisors. The accident occurred along a stretch of roadway between two coastal communities: the cities of Rancho Palos Verdes and Rolling Hills Estates.
