{"id":32697,"date":"2021-03-10T16:28:15","date_gmt":"2021-03-11T00:28:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lapost.us\/?p=32697"},"modified":"2021-03-10T16:28:15","modified_gmt":"2021-03-11T00:28:15","slug":"first-study-subjects-receive-modified-moderna-vaccine-to-fight-south-africa-variant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lapost.us\/?p=32697","title":{"rendered":"First study subjects receive modified Moderna vaccine to fight South Africa variant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Moderna announced Wednesday that it has administered the first doses\u00a0to study participants of a modified vaccine designed to fight coronavirus variants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Details:<\/strong>\u00a0The company said it is observing the efficacy of two different modified vaccines in a small study involving 60 people who already received the original vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the participants will get a booster dose of a modified vaccine designed specifically to fight a variant of the virus first identified in South Africa.
