Wade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mississippi\u2019s attorney general urged the Supreme Court in a Thursday brief to overrule Roe v. Wade next term when the justices review Mississippi\u2019s ban on virtually all abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>Calling the court\u2019s precedent on abortion \u201cegregiously wrong,\u201d Attorney General Lynn Fitch (R) explicitly set the dispute over Mississippi\u2019s restrictive law on a collision course with the landmark 1973 decision in Roe that first articulated the constitutional right to abortion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis Court should overrule Roe and Casey,\u201d Fitch wrote, referring also to the court\u2019s 1992 decision in Planned Parenthood v. Casey. \u201cRoe and Casey are egregiously wrong.
