\nAACYF 2021 Outstanding Art Achievement Award<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

AUG. 10, 2021, Los Angeles, CA<\/strong> \u2013\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>The All America Chinese Youth Federation\u00a0is pleased to announce that Chinese contemporary artist Mr. Huan Wu has been named as the recipient of the 2021 AACYF Outstanding Art Achievement Award for his excellence in his outstanding achievements in carrying forward and inheriting Chinese traditional painting and calligraphy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The All America Chinese Youth Federation (AACYF) has also awarded The\u00a02021 Lifetime Achievement Award\u00a0to the Hon.\u00a0Betty Tom Chu, in addition to Top 10 Outstanding Youth and Top 30 Under 30 awards to talented young Chinese professionals. Each recipient received recognition certificates from Congress member Young Kim, California state senators and assembly members, and LA County Supervisor & Orange County supervisors.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the AACYF annual award committee: ”\u00a0Wu Huan, a painter from Hong Kong, China, is marveled for his oil painting, traditional Chinese painting, and calligraphy. His family tree stretches back five hundred years with rich history, ranging from the Ming and Qing dynasties up until now. There are scholars that have been present for generations and many have been considered \u201cgiants of literature and writing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

His grandfather, Mr. Wu Ying, was one of the founders of The Palace Museum (Beijing); his father, Mr. Wu Zuguang,\u00a0was a Chinese playwright, film director,\u00a0calligrapher\u00a0and social critic who has been called a “legendary figure in Chinese art and literary circles.\u201d\u00a0His mother, Ms. Xin Fengxia,\u00a0was known as the “Queen of Pingju opera”.\u00a0She was also a film actress, writer, and painter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Wu Huan has inherited the knowledges of his family and his works are concise, simple, grand, and rich in painting language, which strengthens the context of traditional Chinese culture on an international scale.<\/span><\/p>\n
