{"id":40320,"date":"2021-09-22T13:06:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-22T20:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lapost.us\/?p=40320"},"modified":"2021-09-22T17:06:24","modified_gmt":"2021-09-23T00:06:24","slug":"lets-check-on-that","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lapost.us\/?p=40320","title":{"rendered":"LET&#8217;S CHECK ON THAT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The oversight board at Facebook says it will review the social media giant\u2019s \u201cXCheck\u201d system following\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/click1.email.thehill.com\/lhmqsfzphmmrlflmrdjhhrqqhzrcmzmyynhpfwcmkhkdmg_bcjpggflfypqflfjzjpp.html?a=&amp;b=42581\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/click1.email.thehill.com\/lhmqsfzphmmrlflmrdjhhrqqhzrcmzmyynhpfwcmkhkdmg_bcjpggflfypqflfjzjpp.html?a%3D%26b%3D42581&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1632436446552000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFhSfflq3XhSxsVpS0CoUTJSTPKGw\">a report from The Wall Street Journal<\/a>, which found it allows VIP users to use the platform exempt from most or all of its rules and regulations.<\/p>\n<p>The report from the Journal found that some VIP users are freely \u201cposting material including harassment and incitement to violence that would typically lead to sanctions\u201d without oversight or consequences bestowed on other users who violate these Facebook user policies.<\/p>\n<p>One example highlighted in the report includes when Brazilian soccer player Neymar posted nude photos and video of a woman who accused him of rape in 2019.
