{"id":41652,"date":"2021-10-28T13:51:57","date_gmt":"2021-10-28T20:51:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lapost.us\/?p=41652"},"modified":"2021-10-28T17:52:17","modified_gmt":"2021-10-29T00:52:17","slug":"one-percent-of-adults-would-leave-job-due-to-vaccine-mandate-poll","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lapost.us\/?p=41652","title":{"rendered":"ONE PERCENT OF ADULTS WOULD LEAVE JOB DUE TO VACCINE MANDATE: POLL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">One percent of all adults in a Kaiser Family Foundation poll said they\u2019ve left a job due to COVID-19 vaccine requirements as more workplaces institute mandates.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/click1.email.thehill.com\/wnnzktfqjddbhthdbwgjjbzzjfbmdfdyysjqtnmdvljdsw_jrqbvvjrjwbmjvtmsrnq.html?a=&amp;b=43891\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/click1.email.thehill.com\/wnnzktfqjddbhthdbwgjjbzzjfbmdfdyysjqtnmdvljdsw_jrqbvvjrjwbmjvtmsrnq.html?a%3D%26b%3D43891&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1635546957883000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHCGhnPPQJ0Ha94HlthM6Z5PBTQuw\">KFF Vaccine Monitor<\/a>\u00a0for October released on Thursday determined that out of unvaccinated adults, just 5 percent left their jobs because of the requirements, \u201cdespite widespread news reports\u201d of workplace vaccine mandates driving resignations.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Republicans are twice as likely as Democrats to report knowing someone who left their job due to a vaccine mandate, with almost a quarter of all adults saying they know someone who&#8217;s quit.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">A quarter of workers reported their employers instituted a COVID-19 vaccine mandate \u2014 an increase of 16 percentage points since June.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Expected mandate response:<\/strong>\u00a0The vaccine requirements come as the Biden administration moved forward with its plan to institute a vaccine-or-test mandate for all employers with at least 100 employees.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Almost half of unvaccinated workers, 46 percent, said under that type of mandate, they would opt for weekly testing. Eleven percent said they\u2019d most likely get the vaccine while 37 percent, representing 1 percent of all adults, said they would leave their job.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">But without the weekly testing option, a majority of unvaccinated workers, at 72 percent, said they would quit their jobs, representing 9 percent of all adults.
