John Culver wrote in a memo sent to employees on Tuesday,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/click1.email.thehill.com\/fnqrtcqzyddwpcpdwbjyywrryqwldqdffnyzcgldhyyhdg_zdfrsspmpkrlbmlpdzrm.html?a=&amp;b=46364\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" Associated Press<\/a>\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n<p>Culver said in the memo that the Seattle company\u00a0will continue to strongly encourage\u00a0its employees to get their vaccines and booster shots, according to the AP.<\/p>\n<p>This reversal comes after Starbucks\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/click1.email.thehill.com\/ljhqsfzphmmrlflmrdjhhrqqhzrcmzmyynhpfwcmghhgmq_zdfrsspmpkrlbmlpdzrm.html?a=&amp;b=46364\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" earlier this month<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0it\u00a0would enforce a vaccine-or-test mandate for\u00a0the company&#8217;s\u00a0220,000 U.S. employees.\u00a0The original order required workers to be vaccinated by Feb. 9 or undergo weekly testing.<\/p>\n<p>Culver said at the time that the &#8220;vaccine is the best option we have, by far, when it comes to staying safe and slowing the spread of
