Eight of the ten samples collected on March 2, 2022, tested positive for this bacterium.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In response to the\u00a0<em>Listeria monocytogenes<\/em>\u00a0findings in enoki and mixed mushrooms, voluntary recalls have been conducted by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdph.ca.gov\/Programs\/CEH\/DFDCS\/Pages\/FDBPrograms\/FoodSafetyProgram\/FoodRecalls.aspx\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.cdph.ca.gov\/Programs\/CEH\/DFDCS\/Pages\/FDBPrograms\/FoodSafetyProgram\/FoodRecalls.aspx&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1648336088280000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3fGx9VifmpX_kOzwmSCPBt\">multiple firms in California<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Symptoms of\u00a0<em>Listeria\u00a0<\/em>infection may include high fever, headache, and neck stiffness. Infants, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems are at highest risk for severe illness and death.\u00a0<em>Listeria\u00a0<\/em>infection in pregnant women can lead to miscarriage or stillbirth, premature delivery, or infection of the newborn baby.
