Horvath\u2019s campaign continues to draw new supporters. Local nonprofit Streets for All announced their support for Horvath\u2019s campaign, joining a list of over one hundred local leaders and organizations who have endorsed Horvath\u2019s candidacy.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;Streets for All is proud to support Lindsey Horvath for Los Angeles County Supervisor. In her role as Mayor of West Hollywood, Lindsey championed public transportation, bike lanes, and a more walkable and livable city. Having her as an ally on the Board of Supervisors would be a big win for progressive transportation and fighting climate change in LA County, including pushing forward the Sepulveda Transit Corridor and Crenshaw Northern Extension,\u201d said\u00a0<strong>Michael Schneider, Founder, Streets For All<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Streets for All was founded in 2019, and advocates for safe and equitable access to transportation throughout Los Angeles. Led by progressive community leaders, Streets for All supports local candidates who share their vision for transportation justice. Beyond political advocacy, Streets for All also works to shift the car-centric culture of Los Angeles to one that is more sustainable and pedestrian-centric.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cStreets for All is a group of dedicated local activists committed to making Los Angeles more accessible and safer for pedestrians, and I\u2019m honored to have their support. As a County, Los Angeles has to promote safe and equitable access to transit, full stop. Whether it\u2019s protected bike lanes, pedestrian improvements, or building out our regional public transit network, we need to invest in our communities so that people can easily navigate Los Angeles to access jobs, healthcare, essential services, arts &amp; culture destinations, and more. Metro has several important projects in the works that would increase access to transit and improve the commutes of thousands of residents.
