\nThe lighting project brightens Hollywood Boulevard in advance of the L.A. Pride Parade<\/a>, which on June 12th will return to its historic roots in Hollywood for the first time in nearly 40 years. After June, the lights will remain active on Hollywood Boulevard, can be programmed for future celebrations and events, and will enhance public safety in the area.<\/p>\n<\/a> <\/a>

\nThe lights were activated during a community celebration on Wednesday, June 1st. O\u2019Farrell was joined by Kathleen Rawson, President\/CEO of The Hollywood Partnership, and community partners including: Sharon-Franklin Brown, Board President of Christopher Street West\/L.A. Pride; Leron Gubler, Chair of the Hollywood Historic Trust; David Jerome, President\/CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce; Hollywood Division Captain Ray Valois; and Mariachi Arcoiris de Los Angeles, the groundbreaking LGBTQ+ mariachi ensemble.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
