(June 8, 2022)<\/strong> \u2014 San Francisco voters\u2019 recall Tuesday of District Attorney Chesa Boudin sends a clear message that the safety of tourists, shoppers and our hotel employees will again be a priority for San Francisco.<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_6995935343961139850size-14\" lang=\"x-size-14\">\u201cOur more than 10,000 San Francisco hotel employees can feel a bit safer that the failed policies of the now-former District Attorney will be changing,\u201d said Lynn S. Mohrfeld, CEO of the California Hotel and Lodging Association. \u201cWe will continue to support efforts led by Mayor Breed to ensure San Francisco is clean and safe for our guests, our employees and our hotels.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_6995935343961139850size-14\" lang=\"x-size-14\">Although San Francisco\u2019s 215 hotels are beginning to recover from the two-year global pandemic, the city remains the slowest major U.S. metropolitan region to resume business travel, conventions and international travelers because, in part, of its unsafe reputation.
