After a thorough review of the scientific evidence demonstrating safety and efficacy, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdph.ca.gov\/Programs\/CID\/DCDC\/Pages\/COVID-19\/Statement-on-Moderna-Vaccine-for-Children-Ages-6-to-17.aspx\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.cdph.ca.gov\/Programs\/CID\/DCDC\/Pages\/COVID-19\/Statement-on-Moderna-Vaccine-for-Children-Ages-6-to-17.aspx&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1656732018709000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1hvX2_QWOhAmXLMsupmCi_\">Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup support the use of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine<\/a>\u00a0as a two-dose vaccine series for those aged 6 through 17 years. Just last week, infant and toddler COVID-19 vaccines were granted emergency use authorization, and we\u2019re happy to include another option for families to protect themselves from the worst outcomes of COVID-19 and help them safely get back to the activities they need and love.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is supported by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention\u2019s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices and the FDA\u2019s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee.
