Horvath for Los Angeles County Supervisor announced the endorsement of The Committee of Interns and Residents\/SEIU (CIR\/SEIU), a local of Service Employees International Union which represents more than 20,000 interns, residents, and fellows in California, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, and Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCouncilwoman Horvath\u2019s tireless advocacy for healthcare &amp; healthcare workers, such as hero pay legislation during the pandemic and fighting for healthcare coverage for everyone, shows her support for our members and understanding of the challenges we face,\u201d\u00a0<strong>said \u00a0Dr. Mahima Iyengar, CIR Regional Vice President and Internal Medicine\/Pediatric physician.\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cCIR\/SEIU is proud to stand with Lindsey and officially endorse her for Los Angeles County Supervisor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1957, CIR\/SEIU is devoted to improving the healthcare system by advancing patient care, increasing access to healthcare, and enhancing residency training and education through collective bargaining, organizing, and advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am honored to have the support of the healthcare workers of The Committee of Interns and Residents of SEIU,\u201d\u00a0<strong>said Councilwoman Lindsey P.
