In addition, CDPH\u2019s regular COVID-19 News Release will now be distributed weekly, also on Thursdays.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Statewide COVID-19 Data<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rates of cases, hospitalizations and deaths are highest among unvaccinated individuals and lowest among boosted individuals. 10,329,995 confirmed cases to date.<\/li>\n<li>Today\u2019s average case count is 6,338 (average daily case count over 7 days).<\/li>\n<li>During July 2022, unvaccinated people were 2.6 times more likely to get COVID-19 than people who were vaccinated with at least a primary series.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Testing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>The testing positivity rate is 7.8% (average rate over 7 days).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Hospitalizations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>There are 2,865 hospitalizations statewide.<\/li>\n<li>There are 370 ICU patients statewide.<\/li>\n<li>During July 2022, unvaccinated people were 3.0 times more likely to be hospitalized with COVID-19 than people who were vaccinated with at least a primary series.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Deaths<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>There have been 94,558 COVID-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic.<\/li>\n<li>COVID-19 claims the lives of 30 Californians each day (average daily death count over 7 days).<\/li>\n<li>During July 2022,
