attorneys filed a motion for a stay<\/a>\u00a0on the upcoming trial, saying it was now an \u201cenormous waste of party and judicial resources\u201d since he says he will go through with his agreement to purchase the company.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Twitter\u2019s attorneys also filed on Thursday opposing Musk\u2019s motion, arguing he has not agreed to a closing date and the company is \u201centitled to its day in court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The attorneys said Musk has \u201cpursued increasingly implausible claims\u201d and has long sought to delay the
