{"id":55881,"date":"2023-01-13T11:53:23","date_gmt":"2023-01-13T19:53:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lapost.us\/?p=55881"},"modified":"2023-01-13T11:53:23","modified_gmt":"2023-01-13T19:53:23","slug":"make-a-new-years-resolution-to-get-your-real-id-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lapost.us\/?p=55881","title":{"rendered":"Make a New Year\u2019s Resolution to Get Your REAL ID Today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Sacramento<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 More than 14.9 million Californians now have a REAL ID \u2013 an increase of 180,221 from the previous month \u2013 according to Department of Motor Vehicles data.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe new year is upon us and there is no better resolution to make for 2023 than to get your REAL ID,\u201d said DMV Director Steve Gordon. \u201cWe can\u2019t help you lose weight or find you a soulmate, but we can help you get a REAL ID and save you time doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beginning May 7, 2025, you will need a REAL ID or another\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/email.dmvonline.ca.gov\/t\/y-l-nhdhhil-ikdihijhlu-y\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/email.dmvonline.ca.gov\/t\/y-l-nhdhhil-ikdihijhlu-y\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1673722979206000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3NWayPxn9rAZPexCzLDWi7\">federally approved form of identification<\/a>\u00a0to fly within the United States and enter secure federal facilities. Resolve to get yours now.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To apply for a REAL ID, Californians should visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/email.dmvonline.ca.gov\/t\/y-l-nhdhhil-ikdihijhlu-j\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/email.dmvonline.ca.gov\/t\/y-l-nhdhhil-ikdihijhlu-j\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1673722979206000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3nv-xszLRpbrTFvnEPVRuW\">REALID.dmv.ca.gov<\/a>, fill out the online application and upload their documents. Customers must visit a DMV office and bring their uploaded documents to complete the application. Customers need to provide:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proof of identity \u2013 One original or certified document (example: valid passport, birth certificate).
